Hydrogeological Investigations

CES has completed hydrogeological studies for a variety of purposes. Most of the studies were done to support environmental resource and water use permits, to evaluate potential impacts to wetlands and surface water features, to estimate freshwater reserves for water supply projects, to identify the freshwater/saltwater interface, and to assist with contaminant migration assessments.

Hydrogeological studies may include the following components:

• Specific-interval groundwater sampling and flow measurements
• Core drilling of aquifer and aquitard layers
• Permeability testing of rock cores
• Aquifer performance testing
• Single well tests
• Multi-well pumping tests
• Drawdown analysis
• Groundwater modeling
