Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP) and similar projects, scheduling field personnel and subcontractors, and preparing written reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP) and similar projects.
  • Schedule field personnel and subcontractors.
  • Prepare comprehensive written reports.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or higher in science, geology, or engineering.
  • Two years plus experience managing FDEP PRP projects.

Creative Environmental Solution (CES) is seeking an Environmental Technician to work with our Team in Brooksville, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect field data including air, soil, and groundwater sample collection, logging of soil borings and monitoring wells, site inspections;
  • Provide field oversight services for drilling, soil and groundwater sampling, underground storage tank (UST) removals, private drinking water well surveys, and other environmental tasks;
  • Complete accurate and detailed field logs and diagrams;
  • Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring for various media and contaminants of concern by following established procedures;

Technical Requirements:

  • One (1) to three (3) years of work experience in the field, primarily related to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program;
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • 40 hr. OSHA HAZWOPER certification, current HAZWOPER refresher
  • Familiar with FDEP groundwater and soil sampling SOP’s, and field documentation procedures
  • Working knowledge of FDEP regulations;

Minimum requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Geology, or a related field preferred;
  • Familiar with field analytical equipment and collection/preservation of soil and groundwater samples;
  • Strong record-keeping/documentation skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Well-organized and able to manage time to meet project deadlines;
  • Cleaning, repairing, and maintaining equipment in safe manner;
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs;
  • Able to travel out of town overnight and drive long distances;
  • Ability to work long hours outdoors in the field in inclement weather;
  • Ability to work at construction sites and observe / document activities;
  • Valid Florida driver’s license with a driving record in good standing is required;
  • Ability to haul equipment including a trailer.

Other miscellaneous qualities:

  • Candidate will report to an office in Brooksville, Florida;
  • Travel required throughout the state of Florida, up to 80%;
  • Overnight stay may be required;

  • Log boreholes.
  • Install monitor wells.
  • Collect soil and groundwater samples per FDEP SOPs.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or higher in Geology.
  • One year plus experience installing monitor wells and sampling soil and rock using Direct Push Technology (DPT), hollow stem augers, and/or sonic drilling methods.
